Sexual predator, 40, set to be sentenced

A 40-year-old Tampa man is awaiting sentencing after a jury convicted him last week of molesting three minors in Pasco County.

Brian Torres Sr. was found guilty of sexual battery, two counts of sexual activity with a minor and three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.

He was arrested in Hillsborough County in 2006 and transferred to Pasco County on Tuesday on an outstanding Pasco County warrant.

Authorities said the incidents involved victims that Torres knew and happened sometime between 1998 and 2006. Circuit Judge Susan Gardner is scheduled to sentence Torres on March 16.
