ST. PETERSBURG — A Spring Hill man who was charged last year with torturing his 16-year-old adopted son is also under investigation in Pinellas County after allegations that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl at a Ronald McDonald House.
Ronald White, 37, was arrested in July 2011 in Hernando County on charges that he beat his son and forced him to drink gallons of water as a form of punishment. In January, authorities there added sexual abuse charges against White after they said he repeatedly had sex with a 15-year-old girl.
Police investigated the girl's claim that White had sex with her when they roomed together last summer in St. Petersburg. White stayed with the girl at the Ronald McDonald House while White's son was hospitalized at All Children's Hospital, Hernando prosecutors said. The girl later became pregnant with White's child.
St. Petersburg police investigated the matter and referred it to the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney's Office for review, said police spokesman Mike Puetz.
