TAMPA — After police nabbed three men in a drug sting last week, officers say they found 67 TurboTax debit cards, treasury checks and a ledger with people's personal information in the trio's vehicle.
Though the men haven't been charged in connection with any type of fraud, a judge denied two of the men bail Thursday on their cocaine trafficking charge. Circuit Judge Katherine G. Essrig said the pair's past charges, the scale of the current charges and their possible means of eluding authorities were enough for her to deny bail.
Sondonnie Christopher, 22 and Jason Christopher, 22, will remain in jail. Meanwhile, Tampa police continue to investigate the possibility that they were involved in tax fraud.
