TAMPA — Jacqueline Wimbush, who once drew notice for losing a fingertip in an East Tampa meat market brawl, was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison this week for stolen identity tax refund fraud.

Wimbush, 46, served two prior sentences in state prison for robbery, theft and drug crimes.

She collected at least $41,476 in fraudulent refunds, court records state, and was ordered to pay that amount in restitution.

Wimbush was in line to buy pork chops at the Aliana Meat Market one summer day in 2008 when tempers flared into flailing arms. She told a reporter that she felt a crunch and saw her French-manicured fingertip on the floor.
