Spring Hill lawyer to fill circuit judge seat

Persistence has paid of for Spring Hill lawyer Thomas Eineman. Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday announced the appointment of Eineman to a 5th Circuit judge's seat left vacant by Judge William Singbush, who served in Marion.

Eineman will split his time in Hernando and Citrus counties because Circuit Judge Lisa Herndon transferred to Singbush's post. Eineman, 56, has been a sole practitioner since 1990 and has been board certified in marital and family law since 1994. He has volunteered for the last 20 years as a judge in the Hernando County Teen Court program.

Eineman received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Wayne State University in Michigan. Eineman has applied for several open judge seats in the past.
