TAMPA — Julie Schenecker, the mother accused of killing her two children, was indicted Thursday by a grand jury.
Schenecker, 50, admitted to police she planned a "massacre" and shot her children on Jan. 27. Calyx was 16. Beau was 13.
Schenecker faces two felony charges of first-degree murder. Her arraignment is Feb. 16.
It's not clear if the Hillsborough State Attorney's Office will seek the death penalty, but it has 45 days from Schenecker's arraignment to decide, said spokesman Mark Cox.
On its website Thursday, People magazine published a statement from Army Col. Parker Schenecker, the teens' father. In it he said, "I forever will miss my two beautiful, loving kids."
