Gov. Rick Scott appointed Sherwood S. "Flip" Coleman to a judgeship on the Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court on Tuesday.
Coleman, 44, of Clearwater, has practiced law since 1994. He has served as an assistant state attorney and was partner with Kwall, Showers, and Barack. Since 2007, Coleman has served as associate general counsel for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Coleman received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Florida. He fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Judge W. Lowell Bray.
