Detectives looking for missing 82-year-old man near Carrollwood

Hillsborough County detectives are looking for an 82-year-old man with dementia who's missing since Friday evening.

Maynell Benton Scott, 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, wandered away from the Belvedre Commons Assisted Living Facility, 1513 W Fletcher Ave., about 6:30 p.m. Friday, traveling on foot in an unknown direction.

Scott has dementia and Alzheimer's disease, according to the Sheriff's Office, and was last seen wearing a light blue dress shirt and gray dress pants.

Anyone with information about Scott's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (813)-247-8200.
