Families seeking to apply for seats in a magnet, fundamental or career program next school year can learn more about the process at an information session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boca Ciega High School, 924 58th St. S in Gulfport. The event will give parents and guardians information on the time line and how to apply for the programs. Two additional sessions are scheduled Nov. 12 at Pinellas Park High and Nov. 14 at Countryside High. Both are 6:30-7:30 p.m. For information about the application process, call the Student Assignment Office at (727) 588-6210.

Elementary school lunch menus

A variety of fruits and juice are available daily. Students may choose as many different fruits and vegetables as they'd like with their meal.

Monday: Pizza calzone with marinara, Philly cheesesteak sub, chef salad, seasoned waffle fries, romaine or tossed salad.

Tuesday: Grilled cheese, sloppy joe, chicken Caesar salad, tomato soup, veggie dippers.

Wednesday: Beef dippers with rice, chicken nuggets, fruit and yogurt plate, mixed vegetables, romaine salad.

Thursday: Cheeseburger, Fernando's cheese enchiladas, farmer's salad, baked beans, veggie dippers.

Friday: Pizza, bean burrito, chicken dipper salad, corn, romaine or mixed salad.
