Graduation 2014: Steinbrenner High

SALUTATORIAN: David Guirguis

SPEAKERS: Principal Kelly King; Guirguis and Puppa.

SPECIAL MOMENT: Stacy Vasquez accepted her son's diploma to a standing ovation. Senior Frank Vasquez was killed in a car wreck in October.

BEST ADVICE: Puppa told classmates that "even if you believe that you're one in a million, in a world with seven billion people, there are seven thousand others exactly like you." She told them to "find out for sure what the fox says. Don't trust anyone."

FAMOUS PEOPLE QUOTED: "Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad," Guirguis said, quoting Henry Longfellow.

CLASS ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Fifty-seven percent were honors graduates with GPAs of 4.0 or higher. Eighty-six percent are attending college. The class received $9 million in scholarship money.

COOL MUSIC: Four students, senior members of the school's performance group "Entourage," sang Green Day's Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) with guitar accompaniment.
