Hernando County magnet schools to hold orientation meetings in November

Orientation for magnet schools

Learn more about three schools' special programs

Orientation meetings will be held during November at the three magnet schools for potential enrollment for the 2010-11 school year.

Parents who wish to submit a first-time application for their children must attend one of the orientation meetings at the school of interest to obtain applications.

Chocachatti Elementary School's orientation meeting, for its Center for the Arts and MicroSociety, will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 17 in the school cafeteria. Call (352) 797-7067.

Challenger K-8's meeting, for its School of Science and Mathematics, will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the school cafeteria. Call (352) 797-7024.

Nature Coast Technical High School's meeting will be at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 or Nov. 19 in the school cafeteria. Call (352) 797-7088.

Parents who have attended a past orientation need not attend another but must submit new applications. Those and portfolio packets will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 17 at the school of interest.

Auditions and/or interviews will be scheduled after the application deadline as applicable.
