Hillsborough County school menus, May 4-8

Elementary breakfast

Monday: Ham and cheese breakfast pizza, sausage biscuit.

Tuesday: Breakfast stick, oatmeal, assorted cream cheese bagel-ful.

Wednesday: Southern-style breakfast, chicken biscuit.

Thursday: French toast, Cuban cheese toast, giant goldfish cracker, peanut butter cup.

Friday: Breakfast gordita scrambler, cinnamon toast, blueberry muffin.

Elementary lunch

Monday: Chicken supreme sandwich, turkey tetrazzini, peanut butter and jelly crustless sandwich, mandarin oranges, steamed broccoli, frozen fruit pop, whole grain roll.

Tuesday: Chicken nuggets, macho pork nachos, cheese stick munch n dip, potato wedges, garden salad, gelatin cubes, Cuban garlic toast.

Wednesday: Hot dog, macaroni and cheese, ham and cheese sub, green beans, sliced carrots, pear slices, blueberry cobbler.

Thursday: Cheeseburger, roasted chicken, cheese chef salad, mashed potatoes, peach slices, green peas, whole grain roll.

Friday: Assorted whole grain pizza, Cuban sandwich, yogurt munch n dip, mixed vegetables, applesauce, whole kernel corn, dolphin cheese crackers.

Secondary breakfast

Monday: Cuban cheese toast, sausage biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll. Items available all week are: Peanut butter and jelly bar, bagel, cereal, yogurt with granola.

Tuesday: Mini whole grain pancakes, egg and cheese English muffin with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, biscuits with jelly.

Wednesday: Southern-style breakfast, sausage biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll.

Thursday: French toast sticks, chicken biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll.

Friday: Belgian waffle sticks, sausage biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll.

Secondary lunch

Monday: Chicken and yellow rice casserole, cheeseburger, pizza sticks, seasoned black beans, Cuban garlic bread.

Tuesday: Pork nachos, Buffalo chicken strips, pizza hot pocket, green beans, blueberry cobbler.

Wednesday: Roasted chicken, chicken supreme grilled, chicken sandwich, harvest pizza, potatoes au gratin, fruit cup, roll.

Thursday: Taco salad, barbecue Cuban pork sandwich, Buffalo chicken strips, green beans, Mexican infused rice.

Friday: Ziti, cheeseburger, pizza, potato spudsters, steamed broccoli, garlic Parmesan roll.

  3. Florida GDP growth in first quarter 2017 ranks 21st among states, still outpacing U.S.

    Florida's gross domestic product or GDP rose 1.4 percent in the first quarter, slightly faster than the nation's growth of 1.2 percent and placing Florida 21st among the states for growth rates, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

    An estimated $36 million worth of guns was stolen in Florida from 2012 to 2015, according to an analysis released this week by the Center for American Progress.
