TAMPA — Swine flu vaccinations will expand beginning Monday in Hillsborough County to include students in elementary grades, as well as those in charter, virtual and center schools.

The inoculations will be held through Thursday at the Bowers/Whitley Career Center and Armwood, Jefferson and Leto high schools. Vaccination centers in those schools will be open from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

Elementary students must be accompanied by parents, and no child will be vaccinated without a signed permission slip.

Middle and high school students are also being vaccinated during school hours, and additional centers are scheduled to open for elementary students in future weeks. For schedules, locations and information on the H1N1 virus, visit www.sdhc.k12.fl.us/flu.
