Hillsborough School Board swears in chair, vice chair, new member

TAMPA — Cindy Stuart was sworn in Tuesday as the Hillsborough County School Board's newest member.

Stuart, 45, is a longtime PTA volunteer with three children in elementary, middle and high school. She lives by Lake Magdalene and represents District 3 in northern Hillsborough.

The board also made member April Griffin its chair and Carol Kurdell its vice chair. Kurdell, the board's longest-serving member, is beginning her sixth term.
