School menus

Elementary Breakfast

Monday: Ham and cheese breakfast pizza, sausage biscuits, buttermilk biscuits.

Tuesday: French toast sticks, ham and egg breakfast burrito, giant goldfish with peanut butter cup.

Wednesday: Southern style breakfast, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuits.

Thursday: Mini buttermilk pancakes, oatmeal, fruit and yogurt parfait.

Friday: Breakfast scrambler, blueberry muffin, buttermilk biscuits.

Elementary lunch

Monday: Corn dog, roasted chicken, tuna salad wrap, California blend, mandarin oranges, yellow rice, roll.

Tuesday: Popcorn chicken, nachos, Cuban sandwich, potato smiles, green beans, gelatin cubes, birthday cake celebration.

Wednesday: Spaghetti with meatballs, barbecue riblet sandwich, cheese stick munch n' dip, peach cobbler, green peas, frozen fruit pop, garlic Parmesan roll.

Thursday: Asian chicken rice bowl, trout, cheese chef salad, tater tots, steamed broccoli, gelatin cubes, corn bread.

Friday: Whole-grain pizza, chicken gordita taco, ham and cheese sub, goldfish noodle soup, carroteenies with ranch dip, pineapple tidbits, pretzel twists.

Secondary breakfast

Monday: French toast sticks, sausage biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit. Items available all week are peanut butter and jelly bar, bagel, cereal with graham bear, yogurt with granola.

Tuesday: Mini buttermilk pancakes, egg and cheese biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit.

Wednesday: Southern style breakfast, breakfast burrito bar, sausage biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit.

Thursday: Egg and cheese breakfast burrito, chicken biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit.

Friday: Waffle sticks, ham egg and cheese biscuit with potato triangle, cinnamon roll, buttermilk biscuit.

Secondary lunch

Monday: Macaroni and cheese, grilled chicken supreme, chicken sandwich, pizza sticks, mixed vegetables, corn bread.

Tuesday: Asian chicken rice bowl, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, veggies with ranch dip, green beans.

Wednesday: Nachos, grilled chicken supreme, chicken sandwich, harvest pizza, tater tots, peach cobbler.

Thursday: Chicken and rice burrito, barbecue riblet sandwich, Buffalo chicken strips, green peas, banana pudding.

Friday: Cuban pork with yellow rice, cheeseburger, harvest pizza, deli roaster potatoes, steamed broccoli, Cuban garlic toast.

  4. Takuma Sato surprise winner of wreck-filled Indy 500

    INDIANAPOLIS — Takuma Sato, a journeyman driver, became the first Japanese winner of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday when he held off three-time champion Helio Castroneves in a 230-mph wheel-rubbing duel to the finish.

    Scott Dixon’s car goes over the top of Jay Howard, soaring so high that Helio Castroneves drove under it while it was airborne. Stunningly, there were no serious injuries.
  5. South Korea military: North Korea fires unidentified projectile


    SEOUL — North Korea launched a ballistic missile early today that flew 280 miles and landed in Japan's exclusive economic zone, the South Korean military and the Japanese government said.

    S. Korean President Moon Jae-in is assessing the launch.
