New school year means Pasco Times' Top of the Class is back

We're just a couple of days into that fresh start feel. It's a new beginning, after all — a time to reconnect with those you lost touch with over the summer break; a time to set new goals and put your best foot forward.

The start of the new year brings the return of Top of the Class, the weekly page in the Pasco Times where you can read upbeat stories about kids, teachers, volunteers and others who are doing their best in our local schools and in turn, serving to strengthen the local community.

As usual, we'll be depending on the schools, parents and others to help out a bit. We want to hear from you about that special kid, that incredible teacher, that devoted volunteer, along with that new educational program or classroom activity that's truly making a difference.

We'll pass it on so others can read all about it.
