The Egypt Lake Elementary faculty offered an incentive for students to increase their vocabulary — learn at least 1,000 words, and principal Lydia Sierra would kiss a pig. The students reached 1,754, and Sierra puckered up for Virginia Ham, a pig from Holloway's Farm Supply, on Friday, the last day of school. It could have been worse (or actually, perhaps preferable): For 2,000 words, Sierra and administrators would have dressed as clowns and ridden a tricycle through school.
