Notre Dame Catholic School's Early Childhood Readers program has been awarded a grant from the Target Corp. in recognition of the school's efforts to instill an early love of reading in children ages 3 and older.
The grant will be used to provide new reading materials for the school's first-graders.
"We, at Notre Dame, are so thankful to receive the Target Early Childhood Readers grant to increase our reading curriculum for our youngest learners," said Scott Conway, the school's principal.
The Spring Hill school has provided Catholic education in prekindergarten through eighth grade to students in Hernando and Pasco counties since 1985. Notre Dame is part of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
