• Pasco-Hernando Community College art gallery hosts Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss, Thursday through April 5 in the Pottberg Library building, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. This free exhibit features secret art works by Theodor Seuss Geisel rarely exhibited in his lifetime. Opening reception is 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.

• Battle of the Bands — Rockus Maximus XV, 6 p.m. Saturday at the South Holiday Library, 4649 Mile Stretch Drive. After the concert, stay for a taping of the Library Warrior competition, a stunt show along the lines of Double Dare meets Fear Factor. Free.
