It's a long-standing feature on Top of the Class to feature the names of students who have been selected as Students of the Month at their schools. Out of those, the Times randomly selects a couple of students to highlight so readers can see some of qualities that make them stand out. This month's featured students are from Hudson Middle School.

Why do you think you were chosen as student of the month? "I think I was chosen as student of the month because I have come a long way since sixth grade and I believe I go above and beyond on most of the schoolwork I do."

Why do you think you were chosen as student of the month? "I do my work and I'm always prepared."
Teachers' take: "Casey has been on our team for two years, first as a sixth-grader and now as a seventh-grader. In all that time Casey has always striven to do his best in all subjects.
