LAND O'LAKES — Pine View Elementary School is getting a temporary principal until the Pasco school district administration can decide how to fill all its expected leadership vacancies. Ginny Yanson, who retired in 2010 as Sand Pine Elementary principal, will lead Pine View through the end of the school year while superintendent Kurt Browning can consider the best fit among the several candidates for openings at Pine View, Hudson, Seven Oaks, Connerton and possibly Lacoochee elementary schools. Pine View's past principal, Judy Cosh, moved to the top job at Gulf Highlands Elementary on Monday. The principals at Hudson and Seven Oaks are retiring, while Connerton has an interim principal and Lacoochee's leadership is in flux because of persistent poor academic performance. Cosh told her staff Wednesday that all the moves should be completed before teachers end their year and begin summer break. Other schools needing new principals include Wiregrass Ranch and Pasco high schools.
