LARGO — Pinellas County Schools and the Pinellas Educational Support Professionals Association reached a tentative agreement Wednesday to give employees a 5 percent pay raise.
About 2,500 employees, including paraprofessionals and secretaries, will receive the across-the-board increase, said Bruce Proud, executive director of PESPA. The tentative agreement is subject to union ratification and School Board approval.
The school district also has reached tentative agreements to provide pay raises to the Florida Public Services Union/SEIU and the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association. Negotiations are continuing with the district's internal police force.
