PINE GROVE ELEMENTARY: The Parent-Teacher Organization will meet at 4:30 p.m. today in Room 800.

• The School Advisory Council/Title I Committee will meet at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 9 in Room 800. Parents and community members are invited.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Stage West Community Playhouse is offering five scholarships: the Irv Clark Scholarship for Voice for $2,000; three Youth Scholarships of $1,000 each for theater arts studies, and one Appreciation Scholarship of $1,000 for a student who has volunteered at Stage West and may not be studying voice or theater arts. Applications are available at Spring Hill high schools and at the Stage West box office at 5390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Box office hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The deadline is April 5.

SPRING HILL ELEMENTARY: The School Advisory Council will meet at 3 p.m. Feb. 9 in the media center.

SPRINGSTEAD HIGH: Students and parents are invited to a Ready for College Workshop from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the cafeteria. For information, contact Kathleen Hicks at (352) 797-7010, ext. 210.

WESTSIDE ELEMENTARY: The school will host an FCAT Parent/Guardian Help Night from 6 to 7 p.m. today for third- through fifth-grade parents and guardians. A hot dog dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Child care will be available for children age 3 through second grade. Third- through fifth-grade students will practice on FCAT Explorer in the computer lab.

•The School Advisory Council/Title I Committee will meet at 3 p.m. Monday in the media center. Child care will be available.
