Tampa — After-school vaccination centers will be open next week at Hillsborough County high schools for children who need a second dose of the swine flu vaccine.
Health officials recommend that children under 10 years of age receive two doses of the H1N1 vaccine at least 28 days apart. Parents should bring the vaccination card they received when their child received the first dose, or be prepared to fill out a new parent consent form.
Centers will be open from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following high schools:
Monday and Tuesday — Armwood, Jefferson, Leto, Plant City, Sickles,
Bowers Whitley, Riverview, and Tampa Bay Tech
Wednesday and Thursday — Alonso, Brandon, East Bay, Lennard, Middleton, Robinson, Steinbrenner, and Wharton.
