Gulfside Elementary School in Holiday celebrates a 20-year-long tradition with a performance by a reggae-calypso band known as the Jamtastiks: Terrel Lovett, guitar, vocals and arranger; Alan Midoro, violin, keyboard and vocals; Jeff Davis, trumpet, percussion and vocals; and Tony "Kitch" Paine, steel drums. The original members played as the poolside band at the Adam's Mark Caribbean hotel on Clearwater Beach for many years. When the hotel was torn down, the group split into two duos to survive financially. They come together every year as a tradition for Gulfside. "Ole! Ole!" could be heard as a long conga line formed.
