Time left for Hillsborough students to apply for 2013-14 programs

TAMPA — There's still time for Hillsborough County public school students to apply for most magnet programs for 2013-2014.

Applications are being taken for elementary, middle and high schools. Families also can apply for career and technical programs and school choice for grades kindergarten through 11, although some choice schools are filled. Those that have no vacancies will not be listed online.

Students who are new to the district must submit paper application forms they can find online.

Of special interest this year are dual-enrollment programs at Armwood, Lennard and Leto high schools that allow students to graduate with associate degrees from Hillsborough Community College.

The enrollment runs from noon Tuesday until July 23. The new school year begins Aug. 20.
