ST. PETERSBURG — In conjunction with its "Ancient Egypt" exhibition, the Museum of Fine Arts recently taught children how to build pyramids and sphinxes. It plans more lessons. Jan. 9, 1 p.m.: MFA director Kent Lydecker discusses recent museum acquisitions of ancient Egyptian art. Free with admission.
Jan. 10, 4 p.m.: Dr. Sheramy Bundrick, associate professor of art history at USF St. Petersburg, will focus on Egyptian decorative arts in this Friends of Decorative Arts program. Non-FODA members: $5, plus admission.

Jan. 29, 3 p.m.: Curatorial assistant Sabrina Hughes will introduce "Forever in a Moment: Nineteenth-Century Photographs of Egypt." The 40-plus images in this exhibition capture some of the world's most imposing archaeological sites. Free with admission.
