New Fivay High School in Pasco has the look of a college

This fall will see the opening of Pasco's last new high school — at least for a while. Fivay High, which will draw students from Hudson, Ridgewood and River Ridge, is the final high school slated to open for at least the next five years. The $49 million school off State Road 52, just east of Little Road, has the look and feel of a college campus. The media center has cafe seating and a coffee bar. A state-of-the-art kitchen and classroom will house the school's culinary program. And the sports facilities include built-in batting cages, a discus and shot put cage, and women's restrooms with almost three dozen stalls to avoid long lines at large events. Times staff
