I love my job because ...

Laura Ciurlizza, 48, is the director of hair restoration at Academic Alliance in Dermatology. She came on board five years ago when the practice bought out another medical provider but decided to stay when she saw what opportunities she would have to expand.

"You can always learn something new here and there is always room to grow," she said.

I love my job because ...

Jennifer Abdoney, 29, has been a medical assistant at the practice for seven years. She got the job right after graduating from the University of South Florida. She saw an advertisement for the practice on a billboard and had heard about it from friends who are patients. She decided to apply.

"I like working with patients. It's very hands on here, so we (medical assistants) get to assist on surgeries and biopsies all day with the doctors. They're always trying to teach you."
