Water restored to Honeymoon Island condo complex

DUNEDIN—Normal water pressure was restored to residents of a Dunedin condo complex Sunday afternoon after nearly two weeks of drastically reduced water flow.

A boil water notice was also lifted for Honeymoon Island State Park and residents of the Royal Stewart Arms condos on the island.

Bridge workers accidentally bore a hole into the only water line connecting Honeymoon Island with Dunedin on Feb. 2, which resulted in a citywide loss in water pressure and possible water contamination on the island.

Pressure was restored after a temporary pipeline that was completed on Friday passed water quality tests Sunday.
