The flag flies at half-staff as the names of fallen officers are read Monday night during the St. Petersburg Police Department Memorial Service at Demens Landing Park in St. Petersburg. Mayor Rick Kriseman, second from left, and interim police Chief David DeKay, closest to the memorial, both spoke during the service. As part of National Police Week, St. Petersburg police invited the public to participate in the 2014 Concerns of Police Survivors 3K Walk before the service honoring St. Petersburg and other law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
