Free cancer screenings in Gulfport on Saturday

The Mole Patrol is coming to town. Moffitt Cancer Center's 40-foot mobile Mole Patrol will pull into town Saturday and join with two area foundations to offer free skin cancer screenings in addition to free oral and prostate cancer screenings from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Walgreens parking lot at 58th Street S and Gulfport Boulevard. Moffitt, in partnership with the city of Gulfport, the Oral Screening Foundation, the Jim West Prostate Cancer Foundation and Walgreens, will have specialists in skin cancer and dermatology available as part of an annual event to raise cancer awareness. Fashion show benefit: A fashion show for the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Fountains at Boca Ciega Bay, 1255 Pasadena Ave. S, South Pasadena.
