Before running out for a flu vaccine, call to check on supplies.
Because of high demand nationwide, some medical offices and retail locations, including some CVS stores, have had sporadic shortages.
"The current high demand is unprecedented for this time of year," a CVS spokesman said in a statement. "We are making every effort to resupply our pharmacies and clinics with vaccine as needed."
According to some reports, flu is peaking in Florida but could go on for a while, so it's still worth getting a shot.
Federal health officials said this week that more than 20 million doses are available.
