Music

Soul of America — Rendezvous at the Ranch: This inaugural event will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Sertoma Youth Ranch, 85 Myers Road, south of Spring Lake, on the Hernando/Pasco county border. The event features six bands under a covered pavilion; music starts at 2 p.m. The lineup includes Ramblin' Rose Trio, Rekindled Grass, the Daisy Dukes, Southern Train, the Only Daddys, and Sundown-Modern Classic Country. Bring chairs or blankets. Food and drinks available; all concessions and a portion of the proceeds benefit Sertoma Youth Ranch. Camping is available. No coolers. Rain or shine. Chipco Creek String Band: The four-member band will present an array of historical music at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at the meeting of the Pasco County Historical Society, at the Historical Society meeting, Pioneer Florida Museum, 15602 Pioneer Museum Road, Dade City. Florida Jazz Express: The 18-piece band will play classic and modern big band music starting at 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at Dockside Grille, 5015 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Admission is free. Call (516) 480-8587.

Harvest Moon Ball: Live Oak Theatre will host a ballroom dance fundraiser from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Dress is semi-formal. Music will be provided by Angelo Rifino. This ballroom dance event is a benefit for Live Oak Conservatory scholarship fund. Live Oak Theatre 2018-19 Season Preview Show: Catch a glimpse of Live Oak Theatre's 2018-19 season at this show that will be presented 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. The show will include numbers from this season's upcoming musicals, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Godspell, as well as from other shows that have been performed by the theater. This is a fundraising event to benefit the Live Oak Conservatory scholarship fund. Tickets are $15 adults, $5 for ages 13 and younger; and include dessert, coffee and tea. Into the Woods: The musical, featuring music by Stephen Sondheim, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27-29 and Oct. 5, and 2 p.m. Sept. 30 and Oct. 6-7 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Scare zone

Scream-A-Geddon: The annual event kicks off this weekend at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21-22 and 28-30, then daily from Oct. 4-Nov. 3, at 27839 Saint Joe Road, Dade City. The annual event features haunted attractions spread across 60 acres, and includes the addition of Rage 3D, Demon's Revenge and Zombie Paintball Assault in which participants hunt, shoot and "kill" zombies. Un-Common-Ly-Artsy: The event, which features a collection of fine artists, crafters and makers, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Uptown Art Gallery at Brooksville City Hall, 201 Howell Ave., Brooksville. Snapshots of the Mesozoic: A New View of Dinosaurs: Sculptor Lyn Joyce's exhibit is on display through Oct. 17 at Pasco-Hernando State College Rao Musunuru, M.D. Art Gallery, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey.
