Customers wait in line outside Coney Island Grill while Alan Rosetti sits and talks with owner Hank Barlas, in suspenders, during the restaurant's 90th anniversary celebration on Saturday. "I really appreciate the people of this city letting us be here for 90 years," Barlas said. "We have the greatest customers in the world." His father, Peter Barlas, opened the shop at 250 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N in St. Petersburg in 1926. The shop specialized in Coney Island hot dogs in the tradition of Jackson, Mich., and counts politicians and famous baseball players in town for spring training among their customers over the years. Saturday's festivities included a hot dog-eating contest and 90-cent chili dogs and sodas. Check out the Coney Island celebration at video.tampabay.com
