A tournament that's angling for fun

A bout 80 anglers and their families took part Saturday in the Make a Difference Fishing Tournament at Largo Central Park Nature Preserve. A group of friends from Clearwater started the tournaments in 1996 as a way to provide a day of fishing for disabled kids. The clear waters at the park provide anglers with a special view of marine life in its natural setting. Prizes in the categories of prettiest fish, ugliest fish, most unusual fish and most fish were awarded to participants, who also each took home a new rod and reel.
