In preparation for his upcoming military deployment, Nick Illgen fills out paperwork to get his dog, Tuff, a hound mix, microchipped at the Animal Coalition of Tampa, with an assist by Chelsea Law, a nurse there. The clinic, until recently on N Gilchrist Avenue, had to temporarily relocate because arson in April badly damaged the building, killing three cats as a result of smoke inhalation. A man was arrested and faces charges in connection with the arson. Meanwhile, the coalition is set up in its temporary location at 1719 W Lemon St. Visit actampa.org.
