Artists create Norman Rockwell-inspired mural in Plant City

The Dr. Brothers put the final touches on their Rockwellian mural in Plant City last week and took a moment to show off their work. The mural, a take on Norman Rockwell's 1943 April Fool's Day cover for the Saturday Evening Post, attracts locals who snap pictures and sometimes ask for autographs. "One lady even cried," said Blake Emory.

Emory, his brother James Emory and their friend David Rothman formed the Dr. Brothers group when they started the oil-and-acrylic mural. All three play instruments and play some local shows. They finished the painting in seven days.
