Great Friends to Kids event is on Thursday

Jeffrey Fortune and Robert and Barbara Anders, founders of Academy Prep St. Petersburg, will be honored at Thursday's Great Friends to Kids luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Great Explorations, the Children's Museum, 1925 Fourth St. N. Art in Bloom party is Saturday at museum

"Floral Reflections: Architecture and Art," the premiere party for Art in Bloom at the Museum of Fine Arts, takes place Saturday in the Marly Room at the Museum, 255 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg. Great Chefs benefit is progressive party

"A Place in Time," the 10th annual Great Chefs of Tampa Bay benefit for Family Resources, begins at 6 p.m. Saturday in Historic Roser Park in Ingleside at Bayboro.
