If some angry employee gets a gun out of his car and shoots one of my loved ones at work, I'm suing Gov. Charlie Crist, the state Legislature, the National Rifle Association and everyone else involved with lifting gun rights above workplace safety and personal property rights.

Don't call me a liberal against guns. Call me a father who doesn't think day care workers should have .44 Magnums on the same property where my daughter is playing with Legos. ...

The state has set aside rainy day dollars, such as the $2.4-billion Lawton Chiles Endowment, to weather a severe budget crisis.

Well, this just in: It's coming down in buckets. ...

Wanted: schools superintendent to assume job during one of the most challenging times in the history of Pinellas County schools.

Must be adept at dealing with new school boundaries, the achievement gap, low morale and the district's first state budget cuts in a decade. Good luck filling that job. ...

Why stop at wasting $165,000 on a single-candidate election? Darryl Rouson should demand a recount. ...

Seen on a bumper sticker: If You Really Want To Support The War, Enlist. ...

Zach Bonner, a 10-year-old who operates his own nonprofit, will lead a group of more than 50 students during Friday's Youth Service America's Global Youth Service Day at the Best Buy in Brandon.

Zach hopes the event, which focuses on the plight of homeless children, will help other youth realize how much fun community service can be.

He's one cool kid.

That's all I'm saying.

I know of no place with magnetometer protection included in the new law. Does Mr Hooper really think that an enraged murderous employee who takes a gun from his car is going to be deterred by a rule?

Ernest, Tell me how prohibiting me the right to protect myself is going to stop some sicko from walking into any business with a gun in his pocket and shooting the place up. If they have the intent they aren't going to care about some no guns ru

Mr. Hooper, you are an idiot. What makes you think someone so enraged that they will kill has any regard for the law? You think they just wouldn't go home and get a gun and come back or kill by some other means? Very ignorant comment. Melodramat

According to Ernest Hooper a person intent on killing someone would just ignore the law against murder but be deterred by a law against bringing a gun with him to do it with. Gimme a break!
