The Safety Harbor Garden Club will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Rigsby Recreation Center, 605 Second St. N, Safety Harbor.

Arborist Mark Hughes will present a program on tree pruning.

Countryside-Clearwater Kiwanis Club recently chartered a new Builders Club for seventh- and eighth-graders at Carwise Middle School. Assisting in establishing the club were East Lake High School Key Club officers Jade Futhey, Jaime Gregor and Roshni Hira. Faculty advisers from Carwise are Marcia Daniels and Sue Terry. Kiwanis Club member Dave Lindeman will serve as the adviser to the Carwise Builders Club.

The Carwise Builders Club also elected charter officers for 2008-2009.

They are Carley Jensen, president; Katie Matuska, vice president; Meghan Cord, secretary/editor; Megan Feldman, treasurer; Peter Carey, historian; and Courtney Benter and Mary Eaton, events coordinators.

The Palm Harbor Newcomers Club invites new and longtime residents to a luncheon meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday at East Lake Woodlands Country Club, 1055 East Lake Woodlands Parkway, Oldsmar. The meeting includes a local television personality as a special surprise guest.

Cost is $18 and valet parking is free.

The Kiwanis Club of Springtime City, Clearwater, announces that its meeting location has been changed.

The club now meets at 6 p.m. every Thursday at Clearwater Country Club, 525 N Betty Lane, Clearwater.
