RIVERVIEW — One of the biggest car shows in the area will be hitting the parking lot of the Riverview Lowe's at 7 p.m Saturday. About 800 cars were displayed at the last "Little Tokyo Night Show," hosted by JDM Up's, a local Japanese car parts importing company, and it's expecting about as many at the third show. Car aficionados and curious locals are invited to take a look at the vehicles, which, if it's anything like the last show, will display giant engines, wild paint jobs and hard-to-find foreign parts.
Categories that will be judged
Best of show, using Japanese domestic-market car parts • Best in show, not using Japanese car parts • Best VIP (luxury cars) • Best wild (judged on paint, audio and other features) • Best project (in the works) • Best club (several bay area clubs will enter) • Best theme (for its use, such as drag racing)
Note: JDM Up's imports car parts from Japan, and has an "If you can't find it, we will" motto, said owner Greg Richard. Right now, they don't have a shop and are running the business off their Web site, www.jdmups.com.
