The heart's a funny thing: The Avenue Players Theater of Tarpon Springs will present Acts I and III of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite at 7 p.m. at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. $10 members, $12 nonmembers. Fish fry: American Legion Post 7 hosts a fish fry from 5-8 p.m. with live music at 7 at 1760 Turner St., Clearwater. Proceeds help support the troops. The post also accepts old cell phones and flags for proper disposal. Call 442-5293.

Artists reception: The Tarpon Springs Art Association will host a reception for its annual juried art show from 7-9 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. Free refreshments. Call 942-5605.

Winter Wonderland: The 17-day event opens today at Drew Street and Fort Harrison Avenue, Clearwater, and includes holiday lights, entertainment, Santa, a bounce house, giant slide, pony rides and a new train.
