Ask the Times: AMC sets airdates for three shows

AMC sets airdates for 3 shows

I've been waiting for the return of three shows on AMC: Mad Men, The Walking Dead and The Killing. Has the network set airdates yet?

Yes, finally. Earlier this month, AMC confirmed dates for the resumption of the following series:

Mad Men: Jon Hamm, who plays lead character Don Draper in the acclaimed AMC series, said the fifth season will begin Sunday, March 25, at 9 p.m. The first episode will be two hours long. The show then shifts to the 10 p.m. slot. Mad Men has been off the air since October 2010.

The Walking Dead: The series about survivors of a zombie apocalypse trying to survive, returns Sunday, Feb. 12, at 9 p.m. for a third season.

The Killing's second season begins with a two-hour show from 8-10 p.m. on Sunday, April 1. It will then shift to the 9 p.m. slot. Producers now say the mystery of who killed Rosie Larsen will be resolved by the end of the season.

'Boss' will be back on Starz

Is Boss with Kelsey Grammer returning on Friday nights? There does not seem to be any mention of it on TV.

It has been renewed for a second season, despite disappointing ratings. Starz has not yet announced when the second season will air, but a best guess would be sometime this fall.

'Sanctuary' still up in the air

Any word if Sanctuary will be back for a fifth season?

The show's Syfy publicist recently told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that no decision has been made on the future of Sanctuary.

Sorry, but say goodbye to 'Ruby'

What has happened to Ruby on Style Network? I haven't seen it since March. Did I miss some episodes? I love her.

Style canceled Ruby after four seasons. The show chronicled the efforts of Ruby Gettinger, of Savannah, Ga., to lose weight.

A show survives, another dies

I haven't seen the shows Dual Survival and Man, Woman, Wild for a long time. Were these canceled?

Dual Survivor will return to production this year for new episodes on the Discovery Channel. A few leftover episodes of Man, Woman, Wild will air on the same network, but that will be it; the show has been canceled.

Future of 'Terra Nova' is unclear

I just started watching Terra Nova, which I find incredibly cheesy but fun. What is its renewal status?

Fox executives have yet to announce the fate of this science fiction show that transported the Shannon family 85 million years into the past, from 2149 to the late Cretaceous period.
