Bahama Breeze restaurant to join Westfield Brandon dining scene

Westfield Brandon will continue to increase its restaurant options this fall with the addition of Bahama Breeze.

The casual dining restaurant, which touts an "island escape" theme, will fill the space left vacant by Sinigual, a Mexican cuisine restaurant that closed. In a news release, officials estimated the restaurant will bring approximately 175 new jobs to the Brandon area.

Among the features will be seafood, wood-grilled chicken and flame-grilled steak with an island touch, tropical drinks and an outdoor deck that will feature live Caribbean music.

The mall reported earlier this year that it also will add a Red Robin restaurant in the former Ruby Tuesday location. The newest additions will expand the dining and drinking choices outside of the food court. Those already include the Cheesecake Factory, GrillSmith, California Pizza Kitchen, Panera Bread, Brass Tap, RYUU Japanese Steakhouse and Marble Slab Creamery.
