Competitive babies take the cake at Florida Strawberry Festival

Extreme cuteness was on parade Sunday at the Florida Strawberry Festival as children 6 to 18 months old competed for bragging rights. The festival continues from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through this Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, or $8 and $4 from participating Publix stores. Concert tickets are extra. Musical acts include Boyz II Men tonight, Jerrod Neimann on Saturday night and the Band Perry on Sunday. Visit for all the details.

Who were the top tots in the Florida Strawberry Festival fray Sunday? Cade Michael Brock won the decorated diaper category, Mason Wade Goff won for funniest diaper, Georgia Sue-Ann Hunter won the strawberry decorated diaper category, and Riley Shaylee Geiger had the best cartoon diaper. In the features contests, Ainsley Kate Bare and Adeline Lanie Bare were best look-alike twins, and Olivia Ann Grimes won for chubbiest cheeks. In the prettiest girl contests, Zameria Alonna Stewart, Alyssa Paige Fletcher, Taylor Delean Tagliarini and Alicia Elaine Cancholla won in their age categories. In the most handsome boy contests, Liam Alexander Franklin, Lucas Michael Barrett and Karson Rae Morris, Mason Wade Goff and Braxton Reed Bailey won in their age slots. In the diaper derby, Keegan Zayne Tarlton won the 6 to 8 months category, and Lacie Ann Liebler won the 9 to 12 months category. Lacie went on to win the overall diaper derby.
