East Bay High group plans 5K run fundraiser for Queena

The East Bay High School Student Government Association will host the second annual 5K4Q Run to raise money for Queena, the woman who was attacked outside the Bloomingdale Library in 2008.

The run will be held May 18 at 8 a.m. at EG Simmons park, 2401 19th Ave. NW in Ruskin. Queena, now 23, is a graduate of East Bay High and was an SGA member. Proceeds will benefit her continued recovery and medical care. The SGA is also seeking donations to help buy supplies for the event, including T-shirts, fliers, water and snacks.
