Bunco contest helps kids' programming

Center Place presents its 10th annual Bunco for the Arts contest 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 30. No experience is needed for participants in the ladies-only event at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Drive in Brandon. Organizers will serve wine, soda and appetizers.

Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $15. Proceeds support Center Place's children's programming. For more information, call (813) 685-8888.

Meeting for military personnel, families

Officials from MacDill Air Force Base will host a town hall meeting 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 30 at Bell Shoals Baptist Church's multipurpose center, 2012 Bell Shoals Road.

Free music, movies at Westfield Brandon

Westfield Brandon mall at 459 Brandon Town Center, will host free movies and live music outside the restaurant courtyard on Saturday nights through October. This week's movie is Walt Disney's The Princess and the Frog. The show runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Santa's crop raises funds for toys, clothes

The Brandon Junior Woman's Club invites scrapbookers to its fundraiser, Santa's Crop for Kids.

Formerly Santa in September, the Oct. 2 event will take place 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Brandon, 121 Carver Ave. Admission is $35. Kids' fashion show a fundraiser for needy

The Emergency Care Help Organization will host its annual children's fashion show and luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at River Hills Country Club. Little Theater brings Broadway's 'Chicago'

The Riverview Little Theater will perform the Broadway show Chicago, Wednesday through Oct. 2, at the Riverview High School auditorium, 11311 Boyette Road. Studio calls for artists' works to be displayed
