Adult felines like Elvira are affordable ($20) and leave fully spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and licensed from Hillsborough County Animal Services at 440 Falkenburg Road, Tampa. The shelter is now open seven days a week, and on Monday it offers a Pets for Vets military special. Bring the kids to draw animal greeting cards for soldiers, and get a goodie bag.
