Florida Aquarium celebrates lemur's birthday

JAMES BORCHUCK | Times

Emmie Lou, a 1-year-old ring-tailed lemur, licks her birthday "cake" during a party Thursday at the Florida Aquarium's Madagascar exhibit. All three lemurs in the exhibit had birthdays in March, so the Tampa aquarium's staff made three cakes of frozen melons, bananas and blueberries. The Madagascar exhibit, located above the aquarium's Wetlands Trail, features animals native to the island nation of Madagascar.
